How we measure

Every minute we check each service from a server outside our own machine, so the measurement also sees the whole server going down.

A minute counts as an outage when two attempts 5 seconds apart got no correct answer. Minutes in which no measurement took place count neither way.

The percentage is the minutes without an outage divided by all measured minutes, rounded down. It is a measurement, not a guarantee: the rules are in the Terms of Service § 6.
